Why Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is about connecting to the inner Self to understand life’s challenges that leave us feeling battered, bruised and blocked in life.
This inner work is about looking at the wounded parts of us we deny, have forgotten and do not wish to acknowledge as they are often shameful, embarrassing and very painful to even think about. We have buried these in our emotional baggage or so called Shadow self (Inner Child).
As adults we are often taught to dismiss the past and solider on despite traumatic events, but part of us has not moved on and is very much stuck in the past when that event happened, preventing us from truly moving forward in life and affecting our current life happiness.
At the moment of trauma a part of us can break away from the rest of us, this part is called the wounded inner child. A person can have one or many such parts and may or may not stem from childhood.
As we grow up we may forget about such events over time and get on with life.
However these wounded parts remain, dissociated and isolated from the whole person or self.
The aims in such sessions is to integrate such parts back into the hold and relieve the emotional burden they carry.
Frequent concern: I don’t think I can be hypnotized
All healing is self healing. Trance is about getting the Ego mind out of the way.
The alternative to trance methods is conscious co-creation of this experience with guided visualizations and prompts. We all have a main way of communicating, for some it’s visual, auditory or kinesthetic - through feelings and sensations in the body.
By using your dominant method of processing information - whether visual, auditory or kinesthetic its possible for the busy mind to be involved in the process of inner healing in a more direct way. Using NLP - neurolinguistic programming we tap into your intention for change to create a way for the same level of connection and healing to the inner self using the body.
Unwanted habits
Wounded inner parts are often the cause of unwanted habits and behaviours - these may be dissociated parts of our consciousness. Unwanted behaviours can sooth these overwhelming feelings and emotions and keep us safe. T
Unwanted behaviours keep us happy even if for a short while. So they serve a purpose. When we are ready to release these and address our wounds, they can be healed and the unwanted habit is no longer needed.
Self love and acceptance are key here to be able to honestly address such behaviours as a cry for help from deep within us.
Unwanted habits include:
Nail biting
Anxiety/depressive or intrusive thoughts
Constant checking/ OCD behaviours
Over eating - weight gain
Over spending
Fears and Phobias
Pornography
Addictions
Smoking
It is also possible to uncover lost memories - where the subconscious has buried these memories, usually past traumas, in order to protect us. However until released and integrated, these unresolved issues can cause problems in our life, such as failed relationships or depression and anxiety.
Inner shadows can also be the result of attachments and entities or created beings. They amplify our emotional wounds or parts of self we deny and disown and feed off our energy. These are very real as the unseen universe is just as big as the seen. Many cultures around the world acknowledge the existence of such energies.
Repressed emotions - Shame, blame, guilt, grief, anger, sadness, loneliness are all types of FEAR - false evidence appearing real and are associated with many forms of chronic health conditions as the denied emotions become manifest in the physical body.
Chronic Stress - living in an imbalanced way creates a state of survival stress that has an emotional and physical tole on the body and the body starts to break down and illness occurs as a result. Coming back into balance and wholeness with the body and it’s wisdom helps us be more in alignment with our authentic self. (Also addressed in my Kinesiology sessions)
Ancestral Healing can be a big part of this work as connections to our ancestors can explain the repeated pattern of trauma within our lineage and in our own life. Some of the issues and repeated patterns of pain and suffering are not even ours, but are encoded in our lineage and DNA through from our ancestors and the past struggles they encountered such as war, famine, disease and hardships in simply surviving day to day.
This is energetic and can be released and healed. Once healed, the entire lineage and even the collective of human consciousness can benefit with such patterns no longer being needed to be repeated again!

Hypnotherapy typically needs a minimum of 3 sessions for the best outcomes.
This is deep work within the subconscious aims to reprogram unconscious beliefs that limit us. Most problems did not happen from overnight, therefore healing is unlikely from just one session.
I use a unique combination of Spirituality, mindfulness, psychology, hypnotherapy/NLP (neuro linguistic programming) and energy work.
After an interview and assessment I give recommendations based on what I feel is best as a starting point. One or more modalities may be recommended over a course of sessions.
For deeper work between 3 - 6 sessions may be recommended.
